What to Wear: The Dress Code

That age old question, what to wear? Perhaps best explained by what it is not. It isn't a jeans and t-shirt affair, but nor is it a formal, fancy, wear your favorite tux and most elegant gown affair. Dress up, but be comfortable. That said, we think it would be a hoot if the lads rocked some kilts. If you are down for some kilt rocking, our celebrant gave us a couple of affordable places to rent all the kilt kit you could want (linked below). Ladies, feel free to choose a tartan (a skirt, scarf, shash, dress) and make it look good. Seems like at least one of the kilt hires in Inverness may rent tartan skirts. If you don't have any ancestral clan affiliation, there are several universal, non-clan affiliated tartans (link below), and, as I have recently learned, there are many tartans affiliated with various organizations, including the Boy Scouts! However, choosing a clan tartan is no longer considered an offense, so choose what catches your eye. Regardless, wear something that makes you feel wonderful and comfortable... and warm.

Just remember Laddies, It's a kilt. If you wear underwear, it's a skirt.
